Streampunk is a managed streaming service for autonomous Internet radios, whose objective is to free the radio operators from the burden of managing the streaming infrastructure.
It offers a reliable service, that can easily scale up to meet the bandwidth requirements (to cover specific events of interest, for example).
Costs are covered by a small tech collective that also operates the infrastructure used by the service, which runs a software called autoradio.
Status: The main infrastructure is working, and we are able to accept requests. For the moment, the only way to “administrate” mountpoints, transcoding, etc. will be writing us by email. A nicer UI is in development.
